CALL OF THE SCREAM
“Fill your eyes with this horror! It is the only thing that can stop you!” says Susan Sontag. It seems like as if a hidden hope is reserved inwardly, a hope that will resolve the necessity for remedy of yeller. The thing that will be the remedy is to stop, is not to do, is to halt erewhile whatever causes the screams.
In region of Middle East, it has been over two years since ISIS has caused indescribable screams in Syria, in Iraq, in Libya and in many countries. At first, the whole world was believing that these wars are the destiny of Middle East and it’s a habitual fact in dessert area and Muslim world. It had been believing that with a clash of power, it was an empery war of a group which is equal or near to themselves with some warriors moving in line with the profits of the sovereign powers. As a matter of course the ugly face of war was being condemned, however it was being used ‘but’ in the beginning of the speeches.
ISIS was showing its persecution and brutality to all people with impunity that will be examples for world history, also was showing what it did by using the world blessing (Facebook etc. / social media) on top level, displaying and taking forward enough to advertize. Lots of people from all the corners of the world were attending to this middle age wildness and affording all troubles to behave cruelly to people that they never know and contact before. They were using a belief system that they made up as a propaganda organ and conforming their vandalism and evilness to all community that separated from themselves, especially Yazidis, Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens and Assyrians. In my opinion, even afflictions don’t compare with each other, Yazidis are affected by this cruelty mostly. Because lots of scream, “hawar” are heard from them. In fact they were screaming, the whole world looked at Sinjar.
In a date (20th of June 2016) that is close to second year of ISIS’s attack to Sinjar, I went to Iraq, Erbil from Istanbul and from there to Duhok city center by taxi lasted two hours. After staying in a house as a guest, next day I walked around the camps of refugees. I saw seven large/small camps. Also there were camps of Arabs, Turkmens, Assyrians. Most of these camps had been opened with supports of Iraq Government and controlling of United Nations. It can be seen backing of neighbor countries in some camps. There are also camps in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah out of Duhok. Duhok is a city where is far away at most 35 km to Mosul, at least 20 km. It had been leaked to the city by ISIS however repulsed at every turn. Entry and exit have been controlling under a strict supervision. Traffic of vehicles contains %90 taxis and civillian cars. Taxi drivers are almost Peshmerga. The city, Duhok, is more safeguarded than Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. Most of the population is Kurd, Arab and Assyrian.
